Canyon Lake, Texas is located about 16 miles from New Braunfels. Canyon Lake Dam was a man-made lake. Construction started in 1958, and the lake was completed in 1964. The reservoir was built to provide flood control and water source for the community. 

 

Although Canyon Lake is one of the clearest lakes in Texas, with the continued growth it has varmints being push out of their habitat and a lot of the times these Raccoons, Ringtails, Squirrels, find their way into the attics of our homes or business. Additionally, the area has a high presence of Scorpions and Texas Red Headed Centipedes.
